Privacy Policy

We’re Committed to i.thinker Panelists’ Privacy

Maintaining the confidentiality of all of the information that you share with us is essential to our ongoing success. The i.thinker panel is maintained in the form of an online respondent database that is used strictly for research purposes only. Though all of our surveys gather information which is aggregated, summarized and reported to our sponsors, we will not report individual responses to any individual or organization. Most importantly we will never provide any personal information of any kind to sponsors (or anyone else either). No person or corporate entity can purchase or acquire a list of our panel members names.

From time to time you may be asked for your permission to release your contact information so that you might be contacted for an in-person interview. This information will not be given without your individual consent, which we would obtain from you. Your name may also be requested and provided to our not-for-profit partners, but only with your explicit permission to do so. Your consent, if given, is considered only for the specific instance described to you at the time the consent is sought.

We Have to Ask

Our sign up form asks for personal information only so that we may match you appropriately with sponsors’ surveys. An email address is requested because that’s how we will contact you for surveys. A postal address is requested so that we have a location to send payment. Your birth month and year are requested so that your age is always up-to-date. If you need immediate help during a chat session, we would use the daytime phone number in order to reach you. The other information we gather, such as gender, employment information, and computer type is for matching you with appropriate projects.

The information that you provide is stored in our secure database so we can match groups of people with specifications that survey sponsors have identified to us as needs for the survey. If your profile matches, i.think inc. will send an email invitation you specifically about that study. We don’t divulge your personal information to anyone regarding that study or any other interaction that you have with i.think inc.

You Can Get Out At Any Time

You can remove your name from our database at any time by following the links in the Panel Member Services section. Once you complete this step, you will not hear from us again.

You Can Keep Your Profile Updated

If you need to update your profile, perhaps with a current email/postal address, follow the links in the Panel Member Services section. Some of this information (like birth month and year or last name) cannot be updated once entered for security reasons. If you made a mistake on your sign up form, just email us at questions@ithinkinc.com for instructions.

Kids are Respected and Protected

Children under the age of 13 cannot sign up to be a member of the i.thinker panel. We have sponsors who are interested in opinions of teenagers and conduct research among people as young as 13. If a sponsor requests information from people younger than 13, we may send a survey to the parent of a child and ask the parent to facilitate the completion of the survey with the child. This consent is only considered valid for that individual study.

We don’t use cookies

We do not use cookies to obtain or store personal information about our respondents. Occasionally some surveys with multi media require a cookie. In these cases, you will be notified about the cookie and its duration . You may, of course, elect to discontinue any survey before the cookie is placed.
