researcher quality assurances

Researchers who sponsor studies with i.think have a right to important assurances.  Strict security measures ensure that the anonymity of the web does not allow respondents to "pretend" to be someone else while answering a survey.

  • No respondent can change basic demographic criteria (such as gender or age).
    • A respondent must have been an i.think inc. member for at least 72 hours before answering any survey.
    • Only one answer per email address is accepted for each study.
    • Once a respondent has been rejected from a screener, they can not answer the same screener with a different set of criteria.

In addition, researchers have a right to expect that i.thinker panel members will give each study careful thought and consideration. Respondents who exhibit the following online survey behaviors are disqualified:

  • Speeding through a survey without carefully considering each question
    • Straight-line or illogical answers
    • Participating in multiple i.think inc. surveys with conflicting respondent qualification criteria.

Likewise Respondents have important rights:

  • No personally identifiable information will be given to anyone without a respondent`s express consent.  Names and email addresses will never be used for anything other than research purposes.
    • Our privacy policy, which incorporates key principles of the American Marketing Association, the American Research Association and other widely accepted market research organizations, will be strictly enforced.
    • We will not ask Respondents to answer lengthy surveys without appropriate consideration.  This is not a “get rich quick” scheme, but does recognize the value of thoughtful input to the market research process.
